Control food and you control the people (1) the guiding theme of the tour that takes place around the German pharmaceutical company Bayer in Berlin-Wedding. Combining artistic intervention and performative action, artist Anaïs Héraud-Louisadat, guides through the neighborhood that is currently marked by political and artistic decolonisation struggles. Relating back to the controversial and recent merging of Bayer with the multinational seed company Monsanto to become one of the biggest agricultural companies in the world, it is the aim to look critically at and to question new modes of colonialism and exploitation from an artistic point of view.

Control Food and You Control the People (1) ist das Leitmotiv des Rundgangs, der um das deutsche Pharmaunternehmen Bayer in Berlin-Wedding stattfindet. Aus einer Kombination von künstlerischen Interventionen und performativen Aktionen führt Künstlerin Anaïs Héraud-Louisadat durch das Stadtviertel, das aktuell von politischen und künstlerischen Dekolonialisierungskämpfen geprägt ist. In Bezug auf die umstrittene und kürzlich erfolgte Fusionierung Bayers mit dem multinationalen Saatgutkonzern Monsanto zu einem der größten Agrarunternehmen der Welt, geht es darum, auf künstlerische Weise neue Formen des Kolonialismus und der Ausbeutung kritisch zu beleuchten und zu hinterfragen.
